Gintama likes to make fun of other animes and breaks the forth wall alot ive noticed the only similarities to naruto or one piece i can think of is the whole main character standing up for whats right and beating up bad guys against all odds type thing but gintoki has no real goal and he doesnt learn new techniques or even have a trademark move like rasengan and all that jazz. As much as i love this series even i cant binge through a large amount of comedy episodes but the serious arcs are very worth binging.
