Anime Not Based On Manga

One of the most popular fantasy anime ever created slayers takes place in a traditional sword and sorcery. As we can see roughly half of the series this season are based on a manga and roughly half are based either on a work in some other medium or are wholly original. If so these are some of the few that ive watched take not that they may have mangas as of now but the animes were the original work and the manga an adaptation instead.

Zombieland saga kill la kill seikimatsu occult gakuin psycho pass another based off a novel. It may be easy to forget despite all the manga spin offs and other material that the original madoka anime had no source material.

It begins as slice of life romance school anime and at episode 13 it just takes this ridiculous twist. Believe it or not some of the best anime were not started as a manga series and some even got a manga adaptation after they were aired or while they were in. Its beautiful and has such an interesting story. Nagi no asukara by them is one of my favourites.
