The manga interprets the season with all of the key elements intact and tells the events of the anime using a reductive art style and unsteady pacing.

Provides depth and coherence to an odd story. Though the original run of flcl is unmistakably naotas story and though there are enough up skirt and cleavage filled shots to make anyone feel uncomfortable flcl still treats its female.
